Just a short note to say I'm back on Blogger. My focus will still be on politics, news, and world events. From time to time I will be re-vamping Blog w/ some of the newer looks and options. Geraldine Ferraro's comment; Not supposed to say so?

Don't the pundits get it? All I hear on the tube is how horrible it was for Gerry to say what she did. Aren't they in tune with the pulse of the country? We have a long way to go in the U.S. as far as racial issues! We have a seemingly unimportant law in the Constitution called 'free speech', and all I can see that Ferraro said was what is a sign of the times, and being very candid and blunt about it, which happens to be the truth. I don't see anything racial about it.

I'm going to bring up another question that isn't supposed to be asked. Would Oprah Winfrey have jumped so heavily (pardon the pun) into backing Obama if he had been a white man?? 'HELL NO'!!! I believe that's the truth, but I'm not supposed to say it? I'll say what I want, because it's my right. Do you think it's a coincidence that Obama has overall captured almost ninety percent of the black vote? If you do, you are really naive.


Now lets look at Obama's role in this whole mess. As far as I can see the Obama campaign was the one that made this a big deal. I'm really getting tired of Al Sharpton, the NAACP and every other black group crying 'poor pitiful us' every time some little thing is said about blacks! Get over it! Slavery is 'NO MORE', I'm probably going to piss some folks off here, but where the blacks are now is a lot better than running around barefoot in a loin cloth in Africa! We happen to have more blacks who are well educated and in good jobs than any country in the world. How about the athletes making multi million dollar salaries. I have a lot of good friends who happen to be black, and most of them are tired of it as it is demeaning to them when Sharpton and the likes of him are tearing down their own race. I believe they attempt to bring division in the races for their own purposes.

Going back to the black vote for a minute, it seems every time a black person is asked on TV if they voted for Obama because he is black, they say, "oh no, I voted for him because he is the best candidate". Bull Sh.., if they're honest about 75-80% would have said yes. Believe what you want, I believe 'that' is the truth, but I guess I'm not supposed to say so.

I know I may sound a bit racist here, but believe me I'm not. What I do believe is that Barack Obama is a man running for President, and Hillary Clinton is a woman running for president. We should be looking at the 'issues' and not race or gender. The process is complicated enough without adding such great amounts of stupidity into it. I hope you all get out and vote from the head, and the heart for the best 'person' for president. Don't let the media, or those who would hope to disrupt the process influence you. Happy voting!

Ralph Nader again!!!

Here we go again! Ralph Nader is back in the race. Well folks, if you would like to help the Republican regime stay in the White House vote for old Ralphie!

Nader is mostly a national embarrassment as far as I can see. He refuses to acknowledge that he is playing a spoiler role in this years election. If I recall correctly he has said that the last four times, and history has shown to the contrary. What a waste of money to those who may consider contributing to his campaign. I realize he is an Independent, but not really a viable candidate.

Mayor Bloomberg has also become an Independent and might be considering a run, and just might be a viable candidate depending on what kind of platform he would run on. He has the money, the experience, the respect of Independents, and some in the red and blue parties.

John McCain will surely be the candidate for the Republicans, and I think would bring more of the same with a few changes as he is a bit more centered and would buck some of the traditional values of the party's hard core base. All in all he's probably the most desirable we've seen in that party in some time. It is problematic however that once in office he would become more and more loyal to that base. Ronald Reagan you say? Well maybe.

It's an interesting race, and anything can happen in politics, so stay tuned and crank up the volume. It's gonna be 'so' much fun!

Hillarys done? Why?

Hillary's done. That is according to 'some' pundits around the country. If so, everybody from Wolf Blitzer to the CNN pages are asking, why? What did Hillary do wrong? I don't think it's a matter of what she did, but what she didn't do. She didn't hit the trail in most of the grass roots type areas, she didn't recognize the trend of the young voters following Iowa, and the Obama Girls' impact on the internet, and she didn't understand the logic that as in sports anyone can be beat on any given day, don't underestimate the opponent.

Having said all of the above, I don't believe Hillary will be the nominee for the Democratic Party. There is probably no way in hell she is going to win Texas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, barring some miracle, but that's Hucabee's area isn't it? Having said that, I hope Hillary doesn't make the Huckabee mistake of dragging out 'her' run if it is evident that she is beaten. Don't make it a superdelegate decision. Speaking of superdelegates, in case you don't know, we have one that is 21 yrs old and at this time last year at his own admission didn't know what a superdelegate was! Do we want him making that kind of decision? No wonder we're in the mess we're in!

Ah well, the best answer is to vote Independent and vote for the best Obama, er Clinton, er person!

'Obama Girls'/ One million from Obama!!

Right about now Obama should say thanks in a big way to 'Obama Girls' with 'one million dollars' from Barack Obama! Why? The Obama Girls have almost single handedly made the so called movement happen! Think about it. How many videos have been deemed to be cool by the young people, and what was the result? It then becomes fashionable to take part in or do whatever it is. In this case, it has become fashionable to get out and vote for Obama, hmmm, go figger.

The groups of voters that are following suit are quite remarkable also. Months ago, Hillary Clinton was a shoe in almost nationally, especially with women, blacks, hispanics, and seniors. Guess what? Obama now is enjoying cutting into Clinton's bread and butter base! All because of a bouncy busty Obama girl!

Ok, you might argue that Obama has done more than just jump on the old bandwagon! I will concede that point. He does have a lot on the ball, he's intelligent, charismatic, a very competent speaker, and most importantly, he was able to recognize the value of publicity that was gotten by the Obama Girls. 'They' made it a movement,'not' Obama!

No matter what the outcome is, it is fair to ask, without the Obama Girls would Obama have had the response of the young people, and would there now be a so called movement?

Voice your opinion! I can't wait to see some of 'your' answers! This could be a lot of fun!

Scooter Libby Commuted; Why not border Guards?

President Bush has commuted Libby's sentence 'after weeks and weeks of deliberation', coincidentally 'before' any jail time is served! Why then was Bush quoted as saying " When I have the opportunity I will review the case and make a determination" in the case of Compean and Ramos". I believe Mr. Bush to be a liar and a totally inept President, loyal only to the party and furthering the agendas of the very wealthy. The two border guards I believe have been wrongly imprisoned. Mr. Bush said 30 months was too severe a punishment for Libby. How about 11 years for the guards who were doing their jobs, and just 'wounded' a drug runner in the ass (only requiring a few stitches) and probably saved the lives of some kids by stopping a ton of drugs from being sold. I have written my representatives as well as the Whitehouse demanding their release. I am in hopes that anyone who reads this will do the same. Nearly 100 congressmen have contacted the president to secure their release, most of them being Republicans. Please, take a little time, let yourself be heard and get them released and home with their families where they belong. Thanks, Beau.

Imprisoned Border Guards:

Two hard working border guards were imprisoned for 11 years a while back. Why doesn't anyone consider or ask the question in the media, who in the Justice Department is getting paid off by the drug cartels in Mexico? Another question is, why is everyone afraid of our government and the drug cartels? Is this why it's not being asked or investigated? I believe that someone very high up is in bed with the cartels, and could also be linked to the firing of the six U.S. Attorneys recently. Something in our government totally stinks on this issue, and it's possible that the attorneys were fired because they were getting too close. Let me know what you think. Thanks, Beau.
